The Town
Just like the capital Itanagar, the town Ziro has also developed in two parts within 5 km distance. Crossing 1,750 m high Hapoli or Old Zero, road advances 200 m downwards to new town Ziro. At the end of the city there is a Government Handicraft Centre, from where you can collect hat made of cane or bamboo and other articles as souvenirs.
Tale Sanctuary
Go 30 km by Jeep from Zero crossing Siro / Manipoylong settlement / Ponge and trek further 8 km to Tale Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a natural botanical garden stretched throughout the valley with an area of 337sq km. The nature and character of flora and fauna also vary here with the variation of the height. Some of the famous attractions found over here include Mithun, Clouded Leopards, and Bears along with varied orchids.
