Mao
Mao is one of the oldest Hill Stations of Manipur bordering Nagaland lying on the way between Dimapur and Imphal on the NH 39, at an altitude of 5762.02 ft above sea level. The Mao Inspection Bungalow built by the Royal Military Engineers in year 1897 is a hundred years old structure. You can also see the Mao Naga Dance, which depicts the cultural mosaic of Manipur.
Makhel
Makhel is the historical place of Naga breakup and the legendary place of common origin of the Meiteis and Nagas. Makhel has the oldest pear tree, memorial to the breakup.
