Location : Pelling is about 133 km away from Siliguri (West Bengal) and 125 km from Gangtok in Sikkim.

Pelling in Sikkim is placid travel destination, situated at an altitude of 6,800 ft from the sea level. Pelling Sikkim attracts most of the visitors for its glorious history, nature and culture of the state. Sikkim Pelling, the laid back, scenic, but rapidly swelling hamlet is famous for the magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains of Khangchendzonga.

Pelling in Sikkim is an ideal getaway for tourists as its vicinity has numerous waterfalls, soft trek routes, villages and soothing atmosphere for all discerning. High above the forest covered hills, in an amphitheater of cloud, snow and rock.

Airport : The nearest airport from Pelling is Bagdogra Airport.

Railhead : The trains generally come into either New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. From there, visitors may proceed to Pelling by "Toy-Train" or bus or taxi, Limo Van or Land Rover to Pelling.

Road Transport : Pelling is connected with all weather metaled road with Siliguri, Kalimpong, Gangtok etc.

Tourist Cars, Tourist mini coaches and Taxis are available for passengers travelling between Pelling and Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri Junction or Bagdogra, and also for sightseeing at fixed rates and may be reserved through Tourist Bureau, Govt. of West Bengal, Pelling.

Shared jeeps travel regularly until mid or late afternoon between Pelling and Ghezing; twice daily for Gangtok, and once a day for Siliguri. There is no direct service to Yoksum from Pelling but a daily bus leaves Ghezing and travels via Legship and Tashiding. One bus leaves Ghezing daily for Khecheopalri Lake and passes through Pelling, and two leave Pelling for Ghezing, and eventually back to Pelling.

Pemayangste Monastery
Pemayantse monastery is special because it is meant only for ‘ta-sang’ lamas (pure monks). Believed to have been conceptualised and designed by the pioneer of Buddhism in Sikkim, Lhatsun Chhembo, Pemayangste soon became the nuclei of monasteries in Sikkim. Today, it is considered as the "premier monastery" of the State.

Sangacholing Monastery
This monastery is located on a ridge above Pelling and the famous Pemayangtse Monastery. To reach the Monastery one has to walk on steep hilly slope which lead through rich forests area.

Khecheopalri Lake
Khecheopalri Lake is considered as one of the sacred lakes of Sikkim by the Hindus and Buddhists. The lake remains hidden in the forests. It is believed that birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the lake surface.
