Detailed Itinerary
On your arrival at Guwahati on the
1st day, our representative will
be their for you to fetch some warm welcome. From airport you will be
transferred to hotel where you are scheduled to stay by evening. Hotel is
booked for you in advance. Next morning
2nd day you will reach
Kaziranga National Park. After rest whole day you will be reserved for
sightseeing of the park. After lunch tourists can stroll through the lush
coffee and rubber plantations of the nearby Kabri Anglong. Tourists can also
make a visit to the tea estates. In the evening enjoy the tribal or Bihu
dance by log fire under bamboo groove along with dinner. The next day
3rd
day you will get up early in the morning to take the thrilling elephant
safari. Elephant rides gives you the opportunity to get very close to the
wilds. While taking the ride you can catch the pictures of the wilds in your
camera. You can also take the jeep safari to explore the park. Carry
binoculars to witness the tiny species of birds. Spot One Horned Rhinos
commonly found in this park.
After overnight stay at the wildlife resort you will pack you bags early in
the morning to drive towards Kohima on the
4th day of the tour.
Halt, than make a visit to the State Museum for an overview of the tribal
lifestyle. You can shop for the handicrafts items and handlooms from here.
After that proceed towards the Touphema Village resort (41 kms from Kohima)
run by Angami Naga village community. Tourists can enchant with the local
folks and can also take part in their cultural performances. Overnight stay
in the Touphema Tourists Village. In the morning hours of the
5th day
engage yourself in sightseeing around the village. Discover the old huts,
people and their lifestyle. After breakfast checkout of the Village resort
and drive to Kohima. Polar cemetery, Japfu peak, Dzukou valley, Zoological
Park, War cemetery are some of the worth visiting places in Kohima. You can
enjoy Naga wrestling and Naga dishes on your visit to Kohima. Proceed to
Kepfiizha (Kigwema village) Dimori Cave guest house after the lunch. This
small but beautiful place is on the Kohima Imphal Highway, which we use as
base for trekking up the Japfu Peak (3048 metre Mt) Japfu, home of the
world's tallest rhododendron tree (20 metres high) and also for trekking to
Dzukou Valley, the best trekking valley of North-East India.
On the
6th day visit the Angami Tribal village of Khonoma. After
taking the breakfast indulge in full day walk with picnic, exploring the
village and surrounding forests. The Khonoma Gate tells the story of the
British infiltration into the Naga Hills in the 1870's. Return to Kohima for
overnight stay. After breakfast on the
7th day drive to Dimarpur for
your onward journey.
