Detailed Itinerary
Late in the night you will be arriving at Guwahati, our representative will
pick you with warm welcome. Then you will be transferred to the hotel for an
overnight stay. On the
2nd day of the tour you will be driving to
Jorhat (207KM). After ample of relaxing moments at the Thengal Mansion (a
historic ancestral house of a Tea Planter amidst an Asssamese village, 15
kms from Jorhat), we would take you for a sightseeing tour around the Tea
Gardens and around three exotic islands namely Majuli, Satras and
Vaishnavism. Visit Thengal village in the evening and meet simple Assemese
village folk. Enjoy traditional food and cultural performances by the local
people during the night. We would be staying overnight in Jorhat.
As the
3rd day of your tour starts we will be moving towards the
Sibasagar, the ancient capital of the Ahom Kings who ruled over Assam for
600 years. Sibasagar is flooded with lots of ancient temples and monuments.
After paying homage at these temples, we would proceed towards exploring
places such as Charaideo, Gargaon palace, Gaurisagar, Rang Ghar, Sibasagar
Tank and Tai Museum which are worth visiting. Return to Johrat for overnight
stay.
After having breakfast, we board our cab/coach to visit Toklai Research
Station which we have scheduled for the
4th day. Here you would come
to know more about tea-plantation. It would take us an hour or two and then
post lunch we will leave for Kaziranga National Park. In the evening we will
make a visit to the nearby Kabri villages,witness the old roof huts and see
silk worm rearing. In between you can try out shopping local handicrafts
from the local markets. We would be staying overnight in the tourists lodge.
Next day (
5th day) you will get up early in the morning to take the
bumpy elephant ride to explore the jungle. While taking the ride spot One
Horned Rhinos, hidden tigers, herds of elephant grazing in the field and
numerous species of birds that are found here. You can also hire the jeep
for the jungle safari. Bird watching is the most interesting activity that
you can do here. Do not forget to catch these Kodak moments in your camera.
We would spend our night in a tourists lodge. After breakfast on the
6th
day of the tour drive to Guwahati. In the evening take the river cruise
in the Brahmaputra river. Overnight stay at your hotel in Guwahati.
7th
day of Assam Valley would end the tour.
Tourists information
The seven days tour package include lodging in wildlife resort, fooding and
sightseeing cost. Wildlife resorts / hotels are booked in advance for your
convenience. Costa of any other facility other than our package will be your
borne by you. Any loss and damage of the luggage will be your
responsibility. We will be happy to provide you the facility of free tour
guide. Transportation while sightseeing will be managed by us.
