Detailed Itinerary
On
Day 1, you arrive in Guwahati and you are welcomed with a royal
tilak and garland, at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoi International Airport in
Guwahati, after which we take you to the famous Kamakhya Temple at the
Nilachal Hill to get an unparalleled view of the city. Then we drive to the
Kaziranga National Park for an overnight stay at the jungle lodge amidst the
wildlife, to witness pure adventure and fun. On the
second day, wake
up to the twittering of birds and scent of freshly bloomed flowers. As the
sun rises, we get set for a wildlife safari in the National Park and observe
the rare collection of flora and fauna, during the jeep and elephant
safaris. After the breakfast and lunch, we head towards the cruise at
Silghat, for some leisure and entertainment.
On
Day 3, we resume our tour, as the
cruise reaches the beautiful town of Tezpur. The archaeological wonders of
the place, like Da-Parbatia temple, Bamuni Hill, Agnigarh and Mahabhairav
Temple are a must-see of the place. After appreciating the historical
remnants, we go back to the vessel for a relaxed lunch. Post-lunch, we make
our way to a soulful sand island for a lavish dinner. On the
fourth day,
we move towards Mayong and Pobitora, and witness the enigmatic view of the
mighty Himalayan peaks and enjoy a barbecue dinner in a serenading island en
route.
On
Day 5, we embark toward the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for an
exciting elephant safari, after which we move to Mayong, where we see the
local culture and lifestyle in the villages and tribal regions. After the
trip, we return to the vessel, where we spend the rest of the day with
refreshments and cultural shows. On the
sixth morning, the cruise
sails towards Kuruwa, and visit some of the unique architectural and
pilgrimage sites like Hajo.
On
Day 7, we go for a sightseeing in the ancient city of Guwahati
to visit the Commonwealth Graves Museum and the local markets for a shopping
expedition. Then we take you to the silk haven, Sualkuchi, known for its
silk produce, and show you the local way of processing silk, dying and
weaving. In the evening, we move to the vessel for the farewell dinner. On
the last day of the tour, we drive you down to the Guwahati Airport to bid
adieu to our esteemed guests.
