Detailed Itinerary
Meet on arrival at the Bagdogra Airport and transfer to the hotel in
Gangtok. Rest of the day is free for you to relax and spend time at leisure.
Overnight at hotel. The
2nd day will take you to sightseeing visit
of Gangtok. Exploring all th its important sightseeing places like Phudong
Monastery, Deer Park,Orchid, White Hall, Government institute of Cottage
Industry will give you the fine picturesque of this city. After lunch taste
the thrill of adventure sports like white water rafting, hang gliding,
mountain biking and yak safari. In the evening you can shop for the items
like bronze, silver jewellery, turguoise, coral jewellery and beads from
Gangtok markets. While in Gangtok you can try out dried fish, Yak cheese and
local beer tomba. Overnight at the hotel.
The 10 days trekking expedition begins on the
3rd day of the tour.
Leave for the Rumtek Monastery in the early morning hours after visiting
monastery begin trek to sang of Khandong. Overnight at the camp. On the
4th
day trek to Tarku (tea Garden). Take a picnic lunch in the afternoon.
Enjoy the lush greenery of the tea gardens. Overnight at camp. Trek to
Rabongola a monastery though small but being sacred is worth visiting on the
5th day of the tour. The pleasing aroma of the environment will be
worth refreshing you. Make a visit to the nearby forests with the guide.
Overnight at camp.
After early breakfast on the
6th day Trek to Legship. Make a visit
to to the holy shrine of the Lord Shiva on the banks of the Ranjit river in
the afternoon. You can also go rafting and boating in the river during the
evening hours. It is also the ideal place for picnic. Overnight at camp. You
are scheduled to visit the Pemayangtse monastery o n the
7th day of
the tour. It is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim. Overnight at camp.
You will be trekking to Yuksom on the
8th day. Lunch, than explore
the rich flora of the Khangcheenjunga Sanctuary. Enjoy the magnificent views
of the snow capped peaks. Bird watching is the most exciting activity that
you can do here. Overnight at the hotel.
Trek to Bakhim on the
9th day. Take a jungle walk and discover the
rich flora and fauna there. You can also indulge in wild spotting in tis
area. Overnight at camp. Next destination of the trekking tour comes
Dzongri, which is the naturalists paradise. You will be spending two days
10th day and
11th day of the tour at this place. On the
12th
day you will again be trek to Yuksom. Overnight at camp.
In the morning of
13th day you will be driving to Darjeeling after
finishing your trekking at Yuksom. Check in at the hotel. Rest during the
day time. Enjoy the cultural programs in the evening . Overnight at the
hotel. Next day
14th day go for the sightseeing tour in Darjeeling.
Visit Tiger Hill, Snechal Lake, Bhutia Busty Gompa, Ghoom Gompa, Observatory
Hill and Dhirdham temple. Enjoy white water rafting, Ballooning, Mountain
Biking and trekking in Darjeeling. Overnight at Hotel.
15th day will
bring an end to your , Transfer to Bagdogra Airport for flight to Delhi for
connecting International flight back home.
