Detailed Itinerary
On the
first day of the trip, you arrive at the Jorhat Airport and
are welcomed by our representatives. You would be comfortably drive down to
Neemati Ghat, which will take around 1.5 hours from the airport. In the
evening, enjoy a stroll in the green surroundings and pleasant weather.
Relax on the ship deck at night, where you will be introduced with the crew
members.
Day 2 starts with a light and healthy
breakfast to gear you up for the day. We will take you to the small hill
station of Majuli, which is known for being the largest riverine island in
the world. There are around 22 Vaishnavite Sattras in Majuli, amidst the
natural flora and fauna, that make this place worth appreciation. An
interaction with the monks of these sattras will be quite an enlightening
experience. In the evening, we embark towards a sleepy little island near
Dhansiri, where you can enjoy a quite dinner with the crew.
On the
third day, the tour resumes with a visit to the Mising
Village, where you can explore the culture and lifestyles of the Assamese
people and the tribal. After this amazing experience of the north-eastern
traditions, language, rituals and beliefs, we will then embark to the next
landmark of Assam ,which is the Biswanath Ghat. The place finds mention in
the Kalika Purana, a ninth century epic. Here, we will visit the Biswanath
temple and the Lord Shiva temple. The night is spent in a comfortable hotel
at Silghat.
On
day 4, we will take you for an adventure trail to Kaziranga
National Park, for trekking down the dense forests, observing the wildlife
in its natural habitat. While you take a morning elephant safari, you
breakfast will be hot and ready in the jungle lodge. Post-breakfast, we take
you for a jeep safari along with a naturalist. The evening is spent cruising
to the capital city, Guwahati.
On the
fifth day, after breakfast, we move to Nilachal Hill for a
visit to the famous temple of Maa Kamakhya. You can make a wish or take
blessings from the Lord before embarking to your journey back home. We than
take you to the airport to bid adieu to our esteemed guest.
Tourists information
The tour expenses include the cruise charges, meals, tour guides,
sightseeing and travel expenses. Any further expenses should be borne by the
traveler.
