Detailed Itineray
The North East India Teeing Tour will unfold itself as you land at the
Dibrugarh airport on the
1st day of the tour. You will be met by our
representative and transferred to the tea garden host bunglow for rest.
Afternoon, you will take a take a walk around the Tea Gardens and paddy
fields. In the evening spend some time viewing the alluvial plains of the
Assam valley and roaming around the city. Overnight stay at the bunglow. The
next five days (
2nd to 6th day) you will be at Digboi, the oil city
of of Assam. Make a visit to the National Oil Park which is not just the oil
field but also an Oil Museum and wildlife sanctuary. Here you get the
opportunity to spot the Royal Bengal Tigers, herds of elephants and many
species of birds. The most important and worth visiting is the 18 holes Golf
Course considered as the best in the entire upper Assam, where many
tournaments are held. Also visit clubhouse for some much needed
entertainment at the Golf Course. Venture around Margherita, the center of
Tea Garden. You can also picnic here along with your near and dear ones.
Discover the rich flora and fauna of Dibru Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary.
Spotting Wild horses at this park is the most entertaining activity for the
tourists visiting this park. War Cemetry, Saikhowa National Park and
Namdapha National Park are the other sightseeing attractions in and around
Digboi.
The
two day (
7th day and 8th day) stay at the Kaziranga National Park
will give you a change and will keep you at immense fascination. Nothing can
entertain you more than the bumpy elephant ride in the central core of the
park. It gives you the opportunity to have the close encounter with the
wilds. You can also take the thrilling jeep ride along with the forest guide
to explore the park. Store the pictures of the One Horned Rhinos, elephants
grazing in the field, tigers running after the prey in your camera. Spend
some time enjoying Bird watching. Make a visit to the nearby tribal villages
to know about their culture and lifestyle. Enjoy the cultural programs
performed by the local folks.
The next three days (
9th day, 10th day and 11h day) of the tour are
reserved for your stay in Shillong. Take a boat ride at the Ward's Lake. You
will love to take the sightseeing tour in and around the city. Lady Hydari
Park, St. Mary's Christian Cathedral, State Museum, Botanical gardens are
some of the places of interest in Shillong. Indulge in nature walk around
the breathtaking waterfalls and lakes in Shillong. Take the boat ride at the
Ward's Lake. Kayaking, water skiing, water cycling are the adventure
activities you can enjoy here. Visit the golf site of Shillong polo club,
one of the best golf courses in Asia known for its natural greens. On the
12th day spend time at leisure till you leave Guwahati International
Airport for your onward journey.
