Detailed Itinerary
As you arrive at Guwahati in the evening (
1 st day) you will better
be resting overnight at the hotel. Your exploration of the Kaziranga
National Park will take place on the next day, where you will be spending
two days (
2 nd and 3 rd day) of the tour. Explore the rich flora and
fauna of the park on the exotic elephant safari. Spend some time Birding
around the lake. You can also take the adventurous jeep safari along with
the jungle guides provided by us. Make a visit to the nearby tea estates and
tribal villages. Enjoy meals ans cultural programs along with the local
villagers. On the
4th day and 5th day you will be relishing your
stay at Kohima. Enroute visit Touphema Village Resort (41 kms from Kohima)
run by Angami Naga village community. Bara Basti, War Cemetry, Zoological
Park, The Catholic Cathedral are some of the worth visiting places in
Kohima. Colourful shawls, bags, jewellery, bamboo baskets, woodcarvings,
decorative spears make interesting souvenirs, which you can tale back home
as part of the memorable tour. You also go for trekking at the Japfu peak,
it provides you the beautiful view of the city and the snow- clad Himalayas.
Proceed towards Khonoma on the
6th day of the tour. Halt, visit
Angami tribal village in the afternoon. Enjoy rice beer along with the
traditional music and dance by the tribal people. After an early breakfast
on the
7th day depart for Sibsagar (225 kms 5 hrs). Visit remains of
Ahom Kingdom who ruled Assam for 500 years before giving in to British On
the
8th day visit to Tai Ahom Museum and the Maidams (Mummy like
structures) of Ahom kings Burial grounds at Charaideo.
You are scheduled to spend one full day
9th
day of the tour in Jorhat. Venture through the Tea Gardens in Jorhat.
Make a visit to the Majuli, the biggest riverine in the world. In the
evening indulge yourself in nature walk in and around the town. Shillong is
the next destination awaiting for you. You will be spending
10th and
11th day of the tour at this place. Lady Hydari Park, St. Mary Christian
Cathedral, Sweet falls, Beadon Falls, Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak are
some of the place which one can't afford to miss. You can also try out
various water sports like sailing, water skiing, water scooter at the Ward's
Lake in Shillong.

Guwahati
is the last destination, where you will be spending
12th and 13th
day of the tour. Explore Guwahati, the gateway city to North-east of India.
Spend time cruising in the Brahmaputra river to watch the sun go down the
river and see yourself why the river is locally called 'Luit'- colour of
blood. Pay homage at the famous Kamakhya temple. Indulge yourself in nature
photograpy on the visit to Guwahati. On the
14th day spend time at
leisure till you depart for your onward journey.
