Detailed Itinerary
In the night, when you arrive at Delhi International Airport on the
1st
day, you will be received by our representative and transferred to the
hotel, pre- booked by us. A sightseeing tour of Delhi, will take place on
the next day (
2nd day). The full day sightseeing tour include places
such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Old Fort,
India Gate, Parliament, President House, Raj Ghat, Laxmi Narayan Temple, and
newly built magnificent temple of Swami Narayan temple. Do-not leave this
metro-politian city without shopping for your loved ones. After you have
explored the National Capital of India, you will proceed towards Agra on the
3rd day of the tour. Take an excursion tour to Fatehpur Sikri and
Taj Mahal, both are World Heritage Sites.
You will be spending next three days
(4th, 5th and 6th day ) in
Gwalior. We would be going in for a sightseeing tour which would include
Gwalior fort, Scindia school, Man Mandir Palace, Gujari Mahal, Teli ka
Mandir, Suraj Kund, Jai Vilas Palace. Chanderi sarees, dolls, lacquerware,
hand-woven carpets, wall hangings in the Gwalior style of painting,
jewellery and crafts are the items which you can shop for and take them back
to home. Enroute pay a visit to the magnificent Khajuraho temples located in
Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Enjoy the Bhakti sangeet (traditional
form of Indian prayers) and traditional dances at this place.
On the 7th day you will set foot on one of the most sacred places in India-
Varanasi. Your tour to such a precious place is incomplete without paying
the visit the Bathing Ghats of Varanasi. Take a dip in the holy water and
worship in the temples built just besides the river bank. Take a boat ride
on the holy river Ganges and discover the mantra chanted by sadhus and
listen to the heart stealing Bhajans. If you would want we would also take
you to astrolger for showing your hands.
Calcutta forms our next destination where you would be spending the
9th
day of the tour. Take a full day sightseeing tour around the city. Make
a visit to the Eden Gardens, Ochterlony Monuments, St Paul's Cathedral,
Maidan & Fort William, Victoria Memorial and Indian Museum.
Do-not forget to taste sweets like sandesh, rosogolla, chanar payesh Luchi,
cholaar dal, kochuri and alurdom to chop-cutlet and telebhaja. The next two
days
(10th and 11th day) will be full of excietment on your visit to
the beautiful hillstation called Darjeeling 'the Queen of the Hills'.
Venture to the Tea Gardens of Darjeeling famous all over the world. Take a
nature walk and admire the natural beauty of this environment. Along with
the Scenic nature walk indulge yourself in some of the adventure activities
like trekking, river rafting, canoeing, scuba diving, snorkelling, water
skiing, fishing and angling. Shop for the handicrafts items, woolen shawls,
caps, wood carvings, carpets, jewellery and religious objects. Our guide
would be present throughout the tour. He would be an English speaking man
who would be informing you and guiding you.
On the
12th and 13th day of the tour you will be busy in exploring
the attractions at Gangtok. Some of the important sightseeing places are
Phudong Monastery, Deer Park,Orchid, White Hall, Government institute of
Cottage Industry. Enjoy the thrill of adventure sports like white water
rafting, hang gliding, mountain biking and yak safari. Take the evening walk
shopping for the items like bronze, silver jewellery, turguoise, coral
jewellery and beads from Gangtok markets. While in Gangtok you can try out
dried fish, Yak cheese and local beer tomba.
